Process
The design process will follow a user-centered approach, involving extensive research, ideation, prototyping, and testing phases.
It was conducted in-depth research to understand the needs, challenges, and existing gaps in current GBV reporting and compliance systems. Gather insights through user interviews, surveys, and stakeholder consultations.
Design Research
It was conducted in-depth research to understand the needs, challenges, and existing gaps in current GBV reporting and compliance systems. Then, we gather insights through user interviews, surveys, and stakeholder consultations.
Ideation and Concept Development
We generate innovative ideas and concepts through brainstorming sessions and ideation workshops. As well as we explored different design directions that prioritize user experience, data privacy, and compliance requirements.
Prototyping and Iterative Testing
Creating prototypes of the reporting platform, prevention graphics, and AI-assisted features, were key, in order to.conduct iterative testing and gather user feedback to refine the design, enhance usability, and address any potential issues.
Outcome
The anticipated outcome of the Paola Project is an improved reporting system for gender-based violence (GBV) incidents within organizations. Our smart collar, equipped with advanced sensors, works in tandem with the Paola app to provide a comprehensive solution. The collar detects conversations with discriminatory or violent undertones, serving as a proactive tool to create awareness and prevent incidents. When an incident occurs, the app allows users to securely and confidentially report the incident, providing a streamlined and accessible reporting process.
With its user-friendly interface and responsive design, the Paola app creates a safe and supportive environment for survivors to come forward and seek help. The app offers a range of resources and educational materials to empower individuals in understanding and addressing GBV. Additionally, the app allows for the documentation of incidents with audio evidence, ensuring a strong foundation for reporting and intervention.
Through this integrated approach, the Paola Project aims to foster a culture of accountability, support, and prevention within organizations. By encouraging more individuals to report incidents and providing the necessary tools for intervention, we can create a safer and more inclusive environment for all. Together, we can work towards eradicating gender-based violence and building a future free from fear and discrimination.
